Michael Lubes

Michael Lubes is a member of the Civil Department, which concentrates in foreclosure defense cases.

Immediately prior to joining Amourgis & Associates, he worked for two law firms specializing in collections for creditors.

Prior to moving to Akron, he worked for six and one-half years as a Law Clerk for the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas Magistrate’s Courtroom, where he reviewed pleading and filings for thousands of foreclosure cases and drafted Magistrate’s Decisions for the Magistrate to review on contested matters.

Prior to becoming an attorney, he served seven years as a Naval Flight Officer and also was a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation for over three years.

Michael holds a B.S. Chemistry, State University of New York at Cortland, 1986, an M.A. Political Science, University of New Orleans, 1995 and a J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University, 2004.

Michael is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, 2011.
